C4E - Coaching Skills Workshop

Training Methodology

C4E uses the unique ‘Discovery Learning Model’ coupled with ‘Adult Learning Models’ & ‘Action Learning Models’ & “Gamified learning concepts” while working with its audiences.
Discovery Learning is a method of inquiry-based instruction; discovery learning believes that it is best for learners to discover facts and relationships for themselves through a process of systematic inquiry leading to data assimilation & synthesis.

We believe;
Coaching existed right from the time man explored the social world
Coaching was always present when the child questioned the adult, remember the child is the best teacher of the main.
The coach trainers are trained to handle the sessions skilfully in a standardized format. The trainer presents a situation to the audience followed by an inquiry, which leads the audience to reflect about the situation. This process in turn leads the audience to arrive at a possible concept, which is further exemplified thru a battery of skilful inquiry & search resulting in the individual to build a concept which is tested in a simulated environment. The role player brings to the table certain innate talents as skills. The skills are further strengthened thru observations & feedback leading to repeated testing and internalization, thus becoming 2nd nature to the individual. This methodology is best suited to teach the following ICF competencies.

The modules are built on the ‘Adult Learning’ methodologies as illustrated below.
It is believed that adults learn best when;

  • The goal of experience-based learning involves something personally significant or meaningful to the learner.
  • Learners should be personally engaged. Consequently, concepts are gamified to engage and draw the learner in the audience and create learning victories.
  • Reflective thought and opportunities for learners to write or discuss their experiences should be ongoing throughout the process.
  • The whole person is involved, meaning not just their intellect but also their senses, their feelings and their personalities.
  • They are recognized for prior learning, which they bring into the process.
  • There is a sense of trust, respect, openness, and concern for the well-being of the learner’s.

The course is truly experiential in nature. Experiential learning is "the process whereby knowledge is created through the transformation of experience. Knowledge results from the combination of grasping and transforming experience."
